ON THE LAND:
A Nature-Led Nervous System Reset for Women

with Brea Segger & Jen Segger

September 15-21, 2026 in Whistler, British Columbia

This retreat is an immersive experience designed to recalibrate the nervous system through intentional movement, nature immersion, and somatic integration.

AND WANT TO EXPERIENCE LUXURY AND A SPA DAY!
(We are a big YES to self nourishment).

Set in the mountains of Whistler, this container brings together two complementary disciplines:
guided endurance-based hiking and outdoor leadership,
AND
somatic therapeutic work rooted in nervous system regulation and embodied awareness.

Rather than pushing limits through force or performance, this retreat invites participants into a different relationship with challenge—one that is steady, responsive, and deeply attuned.

Why Join Us In Whistler?

This retreat is designed for individuals ready to shed layers of emotional and physical tension and step into a steadier, more integrated relationship with themselves opening up a life with greater ease, steadiness, and calm.

Set in the alpine terrain of Whistler, this is an immersive week of epic hiking, exploration, and embodied inquiry. Mornings out in the mountains are paired with real-time somatic integration to help participants understand how their nervous system responds to effort, uncertainty, beauty, fatigue, and awe — in real time.

Whether you are an athlete seeking a deeper connection to yourself through physical movement, or someone wanting to step outside familiar routines and cultivate a more adventurous way of living, this retreat bridges both worlds.

The hikes are co-guided by Brea and her sister, Jen Segger. Jen is an elite endurance athlete, adventure racer, and coach with nearly three decades of experience. She leads with intelligent pacing, terrain awareness, and a grounded relationship to endurance. Brea supports the experience through somatic guidance, emotional attunement, and nervous system awareness, working with each person on an individual bases to stay connected to their internal signals as they move.

Alongside the physical experience, Brea facilitates somatic therapy sessions that help participants track their internal state, notice habitual responses, and integrate what the body is learning through movement. These sessions translate what happens on the trail into practical nervous system skills that can be applied in daily life, leadership, and decision-making.

And of course, we are excited to luxuriate for a half day at internationally acclaimed Scandinave Spa Whistler . This experience will support recovery and integration, reinforcing the understanding that rest is not a reward for effort, but a necessary part of sustainable capacity.

This retreat is for

those who:

  • Want to build endurance with their body rather than against it, reducing cycles of overexertion, shutdown, or burnout.

  • Seek greater steadiness in relationships, communication, and boundaries, especially under stress or responsibility

  • Are aware of patterns of emotional reactivity, compulsive coping, or internal tension and want to understand how these patterns live in the body

  • Want to experience challenging, beautiful hikes without performance pressure, meeting effort in a way that feels sustainable and intelligent

  • Are curious how their nervous system responds under real-world conditions—including uncertainty, fatigue, connection, and awe

  • Value presence, discernment, and self-trust over pushing, proving, or overriding internal signals

  • Learn best through direct experience, movement, and embodied awareness rather than theory

You do not need to be an elite athlete. You do need a willingness to engage your body, stay curious, and meet the terrain — internal and external — as it is.

This retreat is an invitation to develop a more honest relationship with effort, resilience, and rest — and to carry that intelligence back into how you move through your life.

THE SCHEDULE:

Day 1 — Landing In The Body

The retreat begins with a gentle arrival into the space and into yourself. We’ll gather for a nourishing dinner, followed by an introductory somatic session designed to help you settle your nervous system and orient to the days ahead. The evening closes with time to unwind in the hot tub and a guided meditation to support rest and presence.

Day 2 — The Body Remembers

After a hearty, nutrient-dense breakfast, we head into the mountains for our first full day in the trails that make the Whistler area so magical. Expect expansive views, thoughtful pacing, and guided conversation woven throughout the hike. Along the way, you’ll begin learning how your nervous system responds to effort, terrain, and connection in real time.

The afternoon and evening offer space for integration through a somatic workshop, private sessions, nourishing food, guided meditation, and time to rest and recover.

Day 3 — The Release

We return to the mountains to explore another striking peak, continuing to deepen the work through movement and presence. This day invites greater depth—physically, emotionally, and internally—as patterns begin to loosen and new awareness emerges.

The remainder of the day is intentionally spacious, with time for rest, experience a private somatic session, hot tub, and well-prepared meals that support both recovery and integration.

Day 4 — Nourish and Luxuriate

After a morning hike on a new trail and a nourishing breakfast, the afternoon is dedicated to restoration at Scandinave Spa Whistler. You’ll spend several hours immersed in hot and cold pools, saunas, and quiet forest surroundings—allowing the body to release tension and the nervous system to settle more fully.

We return in the evening for a nutrient dense dinner and a reflective meditation to close the day.

Day 5 — Integration & Return

We conclude with a shared breakfast and final workshop, offering space to reflect, integrate, and prepare for re-entry. While the retreat formally ends, support continues—each participant receives three weeks of post-retreat integration to help anchor what has shifted into daily life.

What This Retreat Offers

Somatic Recalibration & Nervous System Integration

Through daily embodied practices and extended time moving through alpine terrain, the nervous system is given space to reorganize naturally. Epic hikes in the Whistler mountains become a living laboratory for noticing effort, rest, and internal signals in real time. As chronic tension, over-responsibility, and habitual bracing soften, clarity and steadiness emerge - allowing intuition, resilience, and inner authority to come back online.

Conscious Relating & Embodied Boundaries

Relational patterns don’t live only in the mind - they live in the body, quite literally, in your cells. Through somatic inquiry and shared experience on the land, you’ll explore how you communicate, respond, and protect yourself under pressure. From this awareness, boundaries begin to form organically - rooted in self-trust and respect rather than defense or withdrawal.

Leadership From Within

Leadership is shaped moment by moment through presence, regulation, and discernment. By integrating movement, challenge, and nervous system awareness, this retreat supports a way of leading—at work, at home, and in community—that is grounded rather than reactive. You’ll strengthen your capacity to remain centered while navigating complexity, without abandoning yourself in the process.

Space Holding as an Embodied Practice

Holding space is not a mental skill; it is a somatic one. This retreat develops the ability to offer steady, attuned presence without absorbing the emotional load of others. Especially for women who support, guide, or lead, this practice allows care to flow without depletion—both on the trail and in everyday life.

THE SETTING: WHISTLER,
BRITISH COLUMBIA

Jen lived in Whistler for over ten years, and both Jen and Brea grew up on the West Coast, shaped by a lifelong relationship with the outdoors, particular these coastal mountains. This landscape is deeply known to them through years of exploration and training. The mountains, forests, and trails are familiar terrain—chosen with care and respect for both their beauty and their capacity to hold meaningful work.

Set among expansive alpine vistas, old-growth forests, and open mountain air, Whistler offers a rare combination of scale and stillness. The environment naturally supports nervous system regulation, inviting the body to soften while the senses awaken. There is room here to move fully and to rest deeply.

October brings a quieter, more refined rhythm to the mountains. Cooler days, crisp air, and changing light create an atmosphere that feels both grounding and spacious. Trails are less crowded, the pace slows, and the landscape invites presence without demand.

The retreat is hosted in a private, refined and cozy setting. Nourishing meals, warm spaces to rest, and intentional time for integration allow the body to unwind naturally. Luxury here is expressed through quality, care, and ease to create the perfect conditions for restoration that feels embodied, steady, and deeply supportive.
