Private Sessions

People usually reach out because something in their life isn't working the way it used to.

Sometimes it's obvious. A relationship has become difficult. They're exhausted. Something has happened in their family. They're facing a decision they can't seem to make, or questioning work they've spent years building.

Other times, nothing is obviously wrong. They simply know something doesn't feel right. They're reacting in ways they don't understand, thinking about the same things over and over, or finding that something they've managed for years has become harder to ignore.

We begin with whatever is happening now.

The way I work doesn't fit neatly into a single category. We talk, but I am also paying attention to what is happening underneath the conversation. The patterns you may not see. The places where what you know and what you do seem to be at odds. What changes in your body as we talk. The things you dismiss quickly or keep returning to.

Somatic work is often part of this. Sometimes we slow something down enough to feel what is actually happening rather than continuing to think our way through it. Sometimes the conversation takes us somewhere neither of us expected.

Something becomes clear. A decision that has felt impossible suddenly doesn't. A pattern someone has been living inside becomes visible for the first time. Something they've been carrying for years no longer feels quite the same.

There isn't a formula for a session. We work with what is actually there.

Somatic Support for Children (Ages 9-15)

Children often know far more than adults give them credit for.

They feel deeply. They notice more than we imagine. Long before they can explain what's happening, they're already responding to the world around them.

What many children need isn't someone to fix them.

They need someone who knows how to listen.

Some come because they're anxious, overwhelmed, struggling with friendships, family changes, or big emotions. Others simply seem unlike themselves. They're quieter than they used to be. More reactive. Less confident. Parents often tell me, "I know something's going on, but I can't quite reach them."

That's where our work begins.

Together, we create a space where children can understand what they're feeling, trust their own experience, and strengthen their relationship with themselves.

One of the things I love most about working with children is that they haven't spent decades learning to ignore themselves.

When they feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen, change often happens much more quickly than adults expect.

This work supports children experiencing:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or persistent worries

  • Big emotions and emotional regulation

  • Low self-confidence or self-trust

  • Friendship and relationship challenges

  • Family transitions, separation, or grief

  • ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent experiences

  • School-related stress

  • Building resilience and emotional awareness

What people are saying…

  • I had years of therapy and personal development before finding Brea. This felt different. There was nothing to prove and nowhere to get to. Somehow that was exactly what allowed things to change.

    Ryan R, Portland, Oregon

  • The relationship with my daughter (now 14) has completely changed. Brea worked with both of us for 6 months. She is happy and confident and she trusts herself. It’s actually a miracle and our relationship is mostly effortless now.

    Kristen C, Vancouver, Canada

  • I am not even recognizable to myself. I thought I was a man but I was really a boy. I now know how to show up for myself, my career and my family. No longer as a burden or a hardship to anyone, including myself. I have a deep sense of who I am and what I am here to create.

    Jake R, Toronto, Canada

  • It's difficult to explain the work because it doesn't feel like someone telling you what to do. It feels more like remembering something you already knew but had lost touch with."

    Erin A, Santa Barbara, California

  • My daughter told me I laugh more. As a mother, that was the best gift I could every ask for.

Brea noticed patterns I had been living with for years but had never been able to see myself. Once I saw them, I couldn't unsee them.

    Zaria M, Ojai, California

  • I have literally stopped worrying about everybody else - not in a selfish way, but in the way that I no longer rehearse difficult conversations in my head for days. I feel so ok in my body and in my mind. My entire world is different now.

    Carla M, Park City, Utah
